Hello,

I live in Northwest Arkansas. I recently acquired a DT125B and a DT175B that my great uncle bought new in 1975. Both are beautiful, but have the normal problems of bikes that have been sitting for a long time. I intend to ride them.

My name is Tom, Melbourne Australia, 59 years old. Ex IT guy skilled in machining and fitting and welding. Good at most things, outstanding at nothing.
I obtained this 250B. Friends of my daughter. The bike was just sitting in the front yard. Scoped out the parts availability and made someone who was down on his luck very happy. And me of course. My best friend had one new and we would ride it everywhere.

That is really cool the bikes are in great shape and haven't been butchered or ridden to death like most bikes from that era. Your great uncle was a good man. Yes ride them, and put them in a local bike show, very rare to see unmolested bikes.
Thanks Mark

We can share notes. I have stripped mine and will start the slow rebuild. Both rims has rusted through. The rear tire had to be removed the hard way. A real mess.

Hey everyone. My name is Ethan and I'm from Kansas City, MO. I currently am a freshman at Missouri University of Science and Technology and am working towards my Bachelors in Information Science and Technology. My dad and I have been building Yamaha Banshees for 10+ years (I'm 19 now), and I recently bought a 1972 CT-2 for my first motorcycle/winter project. This forum has already been a huge help with the tech library and user's help. I'm excited to get it on the road again!
My projects have been a Yamaha Banshee twin 350 (stock stroke overbored to 66mm, Alba themed), a 1992 f150 XLT (4.9L I6, manual 5 speed, currently my daily driver), and now my little CT-2.
Thanks to everyone who has already helped me and thanks to everyone in the future! I hope I can contribute to this forum and help some of you out too!

Howdy.

I recently picked up a '77 DT250 that day for a while. I'm hear hunting for information on It's rebuild.

I'm a high end metal fabricator by trade. Prewar hot rods are my passion.

Lookin forward to picking brains.
