Thanks RT, the next time I get to work on it, ill give that a shot. I might build a brace over the tire to take the flex out of them.

Also forgot to ask about if someone knows where to find a shift level for an E start bike. Mine came broke off and its been kinda hard to find one. Is ebay my only bet?

Thanks

Just looking at images to get an idea of how much the gear lever steps out & this showed up looking like new--till you look in the tank top & little rust. Someone's been busy polishing.

I think the shifter has a major bend to make it around the case.  Ill keep looking on ebay. If not ill try and make something custom.

Also the seat cover came in today. Might try and make the old seat padding work by adding a little foam layer on top of it.

On partzilla.com, look up 71 AT-1C, and you'll find it's still available for $35. Look at 74 DT125, and it's unavailable, but click on that part, and it says it was used for many 125's before 74. Go figure.

yep just get any old steel lever from the wreckers with the common spline & cut n weld. I used to run 5.5 inches, under 6, from center of footrest to center of gear lever tip. Done it many times with my arc welder. Wish i could weld alloy too.
