Finally got a chance to spend some time in the garage to make more progress on the Black WIdow.
First step today was to finally get all of the Bearings installed in the cases- Bearings have been in the Freezer for 3 days now so they are ready to go!
This image is hidden for guests.
First step is to place the case halves into the over and set the temp for 250 degrees- 15 min and the bearing dropped in place like no ones business!

Always good to have the Aluminum Driver set ready to go just in case you need to tap anything in-

Now just let the cases cool down and we got a perfect start to a complete Engine Rebuild.... Bike is going to fly ultra smooth now!

As I posted earlier... It has been confirmed by the Bill Bune Boys that the Stator side Crank Shaft was bad when they got a closer look at it.
If I would have not decided to split the cases and pull everything apart may have never realized the Main Bearing on that side was freely spinning on the shaft causing some tremendous heat transfer for sure!!
So found a decent one on EBay and will be shipping it to them tomorrow and they will use the best parts from both Cranks and sending me a beautiful like new reassembled Crank!
This image is hidden for guests.
Also got my Cylinder and Piston back from Enduronut- Thank you for the outstanding customer service!
Having Dave look things over he determined just a real like honing to clean things up a tad is all that is needed for now. Just amazing the punishment these old RT1's can take!

Decided since I have gone this far... time to address a few Rock chips and a couple of dings in on the Oil Tank and Headlight.
Ready now to apply a light Black Base Coat and then 3 coats of SprayMax 2K clear- Stuff is amazing and easy to use!

Got a call from Bill Bune's place yesterday and my Crank is now done! Packed up and on the way back to me.
Will post up some Pic's of the new/freshed up crank as soon as it arrives.
Good news was the donor Crank I got of Ebay was A OK and now have perfect Specs on the Stator side Shaft... no more bearing spinning freely!
This image is hidden for guests.
Got the first coat of primer on the Oil Tank and Headlight Bucket that were showing some signs of well ridden miles- a couple of rock dings.

Will Scotch Brite pad everything smooth and then apply one nice coat of Krylon Gloss black... then a final working of the Scotch brite pad to remove the gloss finish and then will be time to apply the Clear Coat.
SprayMax 2k Clear Coat has arrived with a nice Spray attachment- Stuff makes me look like a pro!

Finally got some time to unpack the freshly rebuilt crank!
This image is hidden for guests.
What an amazing job they did- Wow- this engine is going to run so smooth!
Now ready for next step is to pull the crank thru the primary side/bearing first.
This image is hidden for guests.
The donor crank provided a perfect to spec Startor side shaft... new beaing will lock on as it is suppose to now!
This image is hidden for guests.
Also a practice run dropping the transmission in to bench shift/test it... glides thru all the gears perfectly!
