Hey guys

struggling to figure out what this bike is ?

A friend has offered it to me I havent yet picked it up hence the confusion as to what it is

the headlight looks 60s to me, but its a single cylinder?

Not my "Specialist Subject" :lol: :lol: , but it could be a Yamaha Trailmaster.

Look on the internet for more images and also try and find out frame and engine numbers.

Others will probably post replies later.

Yep YL2 or as we called them in NZ L2CA [YL2CA]. If its got a 12 volt battery & electric start [button on RH side below throttle\ then that confirms it. If its got "17 wheels instead of "18 then it'll be an L5 [L5TA as we called them here], think L2 by the pic though & L5's were red here.

Ooo how exciting I pick it up Saturday.

My wife is very unimpressed despite me doing all these house Reno’s and other things to get in the good books.

If there's an "L" (YL), it's a 100cc model trailmaster... 80cc would be a "G" (YG)

Looks like a fun project!

Did they make differ versions of YL2, my friends YL2 when I was a youngster looked different. Different tank and muffler.

Looks like my L5t but the engine guard is different. Would need a few more shots to give ya a yes. I'm restoring one myself. good luck with it. seems like a lot of bits are still around.

Thanks. Are they a 5 speed. The book says 60mph.
