The heaver duty (Yellow) springs made a big difference- I just put 3 of them in but going to replace all of them with the better springs.

Then I will need to get the clutch ease as the clutch if pretty heavy right now with just 3.

But all and all- made a huge difference.

Went down to my Parents home for Thanksgiving (Canon City) and took a couple of bikes with me..

My son in law Cameron's IT 250 and my Black Widow!

Near 70 degrees so a morning ride before a turkey feast was in order.

Has been a while since I have ridden Tanner Trail- Single Track and is one rough trail! I road this area a lot growing up and man do I love Single Track Riding!!

One of those "Intermediate" ones - :haha

Shot a little video but not until we were down off the mountain as I was riding with some mad skills and no time to turn the camera on- Lol!. Cameron did pretty good but he has never seen a trail this rough... but it was a good day.

As we came off of Tanner Trail, Headed south on Oak Creek Grade Road towards Westcliffe as I wanted to check out some property that is for sale... Going to be my Retirement home at some point!

Found an awesome site and getting serious!! :likey

Anyways- here is a very short video that I shot at the bottom of Tanner and waiting for Cameron to make his way down. The Black Widow is a running machine!! :Wicked

Thats a good thread! Interesting information about the Tide, i will try it, this should save me some Brake Cleaner $$$

Sadly this thread makes me want to tear appart my DT engine, oh well i guess thats a good thing, shes not gonna be running this winter anyway and she does need some TLC.

I like the thanksgiving video, it shows that your 360 has quite a bit more power than my Dt250, that gives me hope for my project because my bike has some power issues right now.
Id like to find a 360 or a 400 to try it in my area and buy it if I like it, but they are quite hard to find here in quebec, and the people that own them are holding to them.

Thanks!

You will be surprised on how well the tide in HOT Water loosens and cuts thru the grime.

Best part is you can just dump the bucket without Toxic matter-

I usually use diesel and a toothbrush (or bigger scrub-brush) to clean the worst of the grunge off, and follow that with hot water and a generous squirt of Dawn original formula dish-washing soap and a Scotchbrite pad, followed by a rinse in very hot water and blown dry with an air-compressor. Parts come out clean enough to paint. ;)

Yes i might try that as well.
When it comes to cleaning parts, i'm a bit lazy, i usually only use Brake Cleaner but it's kinda expensive.
So generally, I bring my parts to the shop and use the machine we have to clean the parts ;)

fantastic work GF...... Really enjoyed reading the whole thread and

How you have personalised this one using your skills, knowledge, connections and parts stash!!
I am collecting parts for my 'utah pig' GYT themed '69 250 resto and this has given me some ideas as well as confirming a few ways around changes I plan to make!

Very envious of the tracks you have available .....

Cheers
