Well , when i get home i will send you a list of the chemicals you'll need and what to pay ,as most of them will be available from any large town or city. Yes you're right some kits are a propper rip off. Mine was £120 including VAT and postage.Thing is ,you'll have it there for when you do your next bike or when your misses wants her taps plating :likey

Right then. Here's a list of stuff . Bright nickle plating
Rule is everything is spotless. Always wear Nitrile washing up type gloves as some of the stuff is bloody nasty'
Wear goggles and overalls of some description.
Fish tank heater.Or a bowl of hot water to stand the bucket of solution in.
Fish tank airator pump. You can use a wooden spoon
12V ,10A car battery, old one that will still take charge or a 12V 12 Ah motorcycle battery
12V 12 Amp Hour battery charger
Large polythene sheet to lay your stuff on
Some kind of variable resistor.
Multi meter.
A good length of copper wire
1mtr of red auto wire red and the same black
Some crocodile clips
3x 10 ltr buckets
20 ltr of deionised / distilled water.
Brick cleaning acid.
2.5 KG bucket of Ammonium Chloride .
2.5KG bucket of Zinc Chloride.
AZWstarter
AZ Alekos brightener
A bottle of excellent quality washing up liquid .
You will then need to find nickle anodes and that's the expensive bit but you can get resourceful, but don't compromise the process with make do
solutions.
I will post you some weights for the solution and how to do the process. Also problems you might come across and how to solve them.
Regards Dave

May I ask the price of the shocks, springs and emulators? What brand emulators are they?

I brought these from YSS Australia. $399 for shocks, $199 fork springs, 149 for the emulators. The other items are seals etc.

Well the DT is getting closer to roadworthy and registration. The rear end is back together and tight.
New foot pegs fitted and acewell Speedo wired up. Speedo was easy to fit and wire up, looks great too.
Still need to fit the seat base and get the upholstery done. Lengthen the stand and paint the exhaust.
Very keen to get this on the road.

Started making a seat base today.
Uses the original hinges so I can access the oil tank.
Once the seat is on, I can get this thing on the road.
