ahah thanks.
Keep in mind that the RM is WAY faster and in the next video i was going even faster on ice, but the RM has got better traction so it was ''easier''.
With my winter tires i can ride at top speed on ice with the RM.

My first dirt bike was a 1972 Honda Ct 70.
I had many 4 stroke after that.
The reason is , i was too young to choose the bike, my father chose for me and he wanted the reliability of the 4 strokes.
My first 2 stroke, i bought with my own money.
It was a 1990 Honda Cr 125.
Since then, i only care about sheer power.
I want the bike to rip my arms off when i twist the throttle. (thats why i own a suzuki Rm)
The only reason why i bought this enduro is i wanted to ride a 2 stroke on the streets.
I also liked the look of the bike, because i could have get a more powerfull road going 2 stroke like the newer DT200 or else but they are not as good looking.
Dont get me wrong, i do love the sound of this vintage beast, but its lacking in power in my opinion for the displacement its got.
Its only going to be a town cruiser when i get it on the road because its too slow to go anywhere else which is disapointing to me.
(i was convinced when i bought it that id be able to give it some more gears to go faster, but the engine cant pull any more gears since its having a hard time pulling the gears its already got. Its WAY less powerfull than i thought)

The bike wasnt running when i got it, let me tell you that if i had tried it first, im not sure i would have bought it.
You have to give her S*** to get any kind of power, and even so, you dont get much power.
Its having a hard time pulling its front wheel up in 2nd gear when my Rm effortlessly pulls its front wheel up in 5th gear with the same engine displacement.

I raced my friend with my Enduro. My friend was riding his Honda Cr 125 2000. Boyesen rad valves, fmf pipe. Its the 5 speed edition, its not even the 6 speed edition and he was pulling on me hard on each race. The Enduro didnt stand a chance.
And when i race the same honda with my RM, The honda doesnt stand a chance. Now you know why i prefer the RM.

If im able to fing a roling chassie of a vintage yamaha without engine, id like to install a Yz 250 2000+ engine into it and then, and only then is it going to be road worthy. (i know it doesnt fit at all but i can make it fit.)
I love the Yamaha Dt250. But id love it even more with some more power. ( its my first air cooled 2 stroke)
The one i have right now, im going to keep it stock because im not stupid enough to rip the engine out.
But if i find one without an engine... Well....... I can give it proper power.

I wanted to work on it today, but my girlfriend called me because the brakes on her toyota were stuck...
I had to go on the side of the road to replace a stuck front caliper.
When i was done, one of the metal brake hose broke because of corosion when i was bleeding the brakes so i had to replace it as well....
Didnt have a minute to work on the enduro.
Oh well.

The early enduros had plenty of power to be road worthy. I have traveled about 5-6,000 miles on this one, a bunch of it on the highway (Vintage Trans America Trail Ride). The bike has also hit a top speed of 78 mph using my phone GPS to verify. (not recommended on the Dunlop knobbies I did it on :woohoo: )

Obviously it has some prep done for the ADV stuff, but the drive train is virtually stock. It has Boyesen reeds and a K&N filter but otherwise the motor is stock.

These old bikes really are fine to ride and I can tell you this one will go anywhere I have an inkling to go, and it will go places I should not be allowed to try. Ask the EnduroFest Moab guys . . . :Ugh

Yes indeed maybe a 400 is a little faster and perhaps would be road worthy.
But for example, i cant even go to work with my enduro because i have to travel on a road for 15 km at 100 km/h which is the top speed of the bike. Which is probably 8 or 9 miles at 60 mph for you.
Id blow it up for sure.
I could ride it in town where the speed limits are low or in the back country but on the regular roads over here, the bike doesnt even get to the speed of the traffic at top speed.

Beautiful bikes btw.

Now about that comment regarding a BBQ on the back - you have my bike confused with DEET's TAT prepped Stealth Bike - and RT1 with almost 10 gallons of onboard fuel capacity . . .

I find it hard to believe the top speed of your 250cc is only 60 mph I don't know what top speed is for a 250cc but something must be keeping it from getting up to full speed, one thing I remember about my little Yamaha AT3 125cc I had in the early 70's top speed for it was 68 mph so your bike should be way faster than that I would think?
