It looks like my points are permanently on the plate. Most of the points dont look like the same type of mounting. Am I going to have to buy the mounting plate too? I have a 125a with the generator.

Also might be having a problem with the spark plug boot. I took it apart and I cant get continuity through. Maybe part of the intermittent spark problem, IDK.

Pulled the head and jug off tonight to see whats up with the crank play when I wiggle the part with the weighted wings on the generator. Looks like the crank has massive play on the left side. Could of been from the bearing not spinning from rust and now its flat spotted. Now theres scoring on the cylinder when there wasnt before. The play in the connecting rod seemed fine though. Kinda pressed for time with some other stuff so I need to get this bike up and running and out of the way, so I might try and see if I can do a quick replacement on the bearings and seals. Then just do a ball hone clean up on the jug and call it good for the time being. Anyone know if a ball hone or the flat style hone is better? Also what size would I need, when I measure the cylinder with calipers it was just under 56mm.

Also how much of a PITA is it gonna be to separate the cases?

I assume Im gonna need some dry ice to freeze the bearings too.

Yes 24-1073 for crank bearings and seals.  OEM quality.  One kit on ebay for less than $25 shipped!  Haven't seen that price for a while for both bearings and seals..

Just go to eBay and put in All Balls 24-1073
All balls is the company that puts the kit together
It says for IT 175 but that kit has the dual lip seals I hope I answered your question

When I look up the number for my bike it says 24-1072 is the right number. Woulnt 24-1073 be incorrect? Mine is a 74 dt125a.

Ht1kid already answered.  24-1073 has the better dual lip seal for the ignition side.
