Took the bike out, she did pretty well.
A stator rebuild may be in order as it still has the slight misfire sometimes. If I don’t rev it extremely quick it will ride great not the case of Im really going after it.

Worth getting fixed since it'll misfire at the key time in a tough hill climb now! Looks great, love that color scheme. Glad she can at least get out!

Check your points again and see if they are beginning to get buildup on them again. See my thread hopefully posted tomorrow on relocating my condenser to alleviate the same recurring problem on my 76 DT175.

I noticed on your condenser picture you might have a couple "potential trouble spots" where an uninsulated wire or part is getting close to ground...
The voltage in those wires can hit 90+ volts which is enough to spark to the ground.... so bare wires near the edge of the condenser, the "retainer tab", crack in the wire insulation, could possibly cause intermittent shorts to ground. It would be worth fixing those spots with some "liquid electrical tape" or something.

Looks like the oem are discontinued.
I got my points from yambits and by the crap condenser I got I might want to change the points.
I will definitely fix/cover those spots on there mark. Thanks for pointing that out.
I also got in contact with deet to restore the condenser but it might take 3 weeks! I want to ride this thing haha

In the short run, you can dress the points by dragging 600 grit sand paper strips through the closed points to clean the surfaces. Open points, insert strip, let points close, pull out strip. Obviously you need to turn paper over to do both top and bottom. After one or two drags the area of the paper is already smooth so you need to keep trimming the end off.
Later today I hope to post a thread on using a condenser that came with a wire, so no soldering. It is made for an old Jeep CJ and I got it at AutoZone. DEET gave me the idea a few weeks ago. I did exactly what you did and soldered in a condenser with the same fail. I also probably had solder or wire touching the edge of the condenser as Mark T pointed out to you.
Don't give up!!
