Your headlight looks like it may optics built into the lens. Is it an LED light source?

Thanks MarkT for your explanation. I am using a supposed 71 ct1 wiring harness and igition switch. I have the headlight wired to come on on the third position of the ignition switch with power coming from the battery right now. I was just concerned that the switch might not be happy that way. So i will have the power dynamo run to the battery and all the lights run off the battery.

No optics in lens. I cant seem to find an angle that dosnt pick up reflections. The lens is clear.

The LED headlight is a major safety upgrade for these Enduros that had the low wattage incandescent light sources from the factory.

Do you know the high beam power consumption of the LED?

It likely flows less (considerbly less) current than the original incandescent.

If i remember correctly its 40 watts. With the garage door open at night it lights up the neighbors house well. Ill know better when its actually on the road, though.

So last Saturday my bearings showed up in the mail. I had a little time so i head into the garage, cut open the bag a compare the new ones to the old ones. They are totally wrong! Errrrr. I go back to the packing slip and low and behold i have someone else's order. ERRRRR! well thats ok ill just give them a call on thier 24 7 phone number.... no answer :Ugh and their webpage you ask? Down for service..... sometimes you just cant win.

Well wonder of all wonders, my bearings show up in the mail yesterday. Woohoo!!! I guess a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then. And they measure exactly the same size as my origenal ones. Now to find a little time to reassemble the hub.

I had a good and bad day sunday. My friend and his two sons showed up to ride. They brought a trailer for me to put the Sachsaha on and they road their two drs. On the way to the riding area the Sachsaha fell over on the trailer and did this.

I was so bummed out. Of all the places to hit, the pretty tank and on the emblem no less...

So that was the bad part. The rest of the day was great. The bike ran great and performed great. We had lots of fun ripping around some forest service roads that had some surprisingly rocky sections.
One road some idiot put a barbwire fence across the road with no warnings what so ever. I saw it at the last second and dumped the sachsaha on its side an slid to a stop partway under the fence. I managed to get away mostly unscathed but for one small hole in my glove...
