Well the days go by and there's all sorts of things to be doing. Wow! I haven't owned an off road machine in a very long time, I spent many days on customs, vintage road bikes, two stroke street bikes and sports machines, but where I am in my life right now this bike is incredible, back in the day it must have been like a ticket to the future. 6 speed box! It's terrifying taking it out for test rides on a short circuit as I only have access to public roads, been keeping journeys to about 10 minutes or so, getting used to things and seeing what may fall off. Terrifying but looking forward to maybe being able to make this an ongoing project for lazy days - thanks for you help and help going forward too

Hey guys, we have had some really good weather, cool mornings, sunny afternoons and light wind, no rain! I have a few progress pix if people want to see them, like how I have been getting a few things done. Still on short rides. As I don't know these bikes well at all, it's hard to listen for anything much as I don't know what I'm really listening out for. Bike goes like a bomb and the rear tyre is about to fly off all over the place. Time to practice my slow driving skills until a new rear tyre is purchased, most easily available is the dunlop k950, can't seem to find the old Bridgestone 3.50-18

:) Hey there good people, happy to seek your advice - my tacho is on xanax it rises very sluggishly to 4000 4500 rpm and just sits there, it finally drops down when I get to a halt but isnt really doing its job, my own ears make a better tacho, what should I be looking at to fix this?
Getting used to the drum brakes but having ridden disk brake sports bikes for a while, get some hairy moments in traffic where I am squeezing the front lever and stomping the rear pedal thinking - this aint going to work but so far I have managed to not hit anyone else, a new learning curve
I got out a little and here are some more pix
