It's crusty but I like to think of it as patina . It has spark, weak and orange. Actually I misunderstood what the PO said, I thought that he said the piston was seized but in fact it was the carb slide - shut about as tight as a prison door from Alcatraz!

Hot like our favourite sauce ! Then we dug out the Louis Vuitton chair so the Old Fart can sit down and think about this. Rear view mirror and pillion footpegs appear to be absent.

Thanks for the extensive photo update.
If it's fuel residue varnish you might get lucky just heating the carb body & pulling on the cable.
That's how i got the last one out after trying to lever the slide under the cutaway untill i thought better not force anymore so--heated.
Great little bikes those & think they were still points ignition on the 125, so spark yellow or not it'll likely run.
Be running by lunchtime i always say--just not which lunchtime.

RT 'just not which lunchtime' ! I wish every time I could have the discipline to walk away and leave things alone for another day. In the end these things usually talk to us

Slide was stuck so I spent some time with a hair dryer and was able to move on. Some Suzuki tools and a smart fuse.
