I got the pipe sent out and heading your way. it cost me 27.50 to ship the pipe out through USPS.

if possible, can you post some pics of the pipe build on the Super DT400 thread?

of course I will post some videos after the pipe gets back and I will post them in this thread and of course the Super DT400 thread.

will the shipping back be comparable to the figure from USPS? might check and see if UPS and Fed EX is cheaper. I am really pumped about the pipe you are doing for me! :woohoo: Yay2

I have 2 to have done myself, a pipe for the DT175E and a stock RT1 pipe for my 1971 RT1B. business when you return ought to be booming!

BTW I rode the Super DT400 today as I finally got the FMF silencer for it. it pulls strong and I got it to 85 mph pretty easily. had I stayed in it it probably would do 90+ mph!

it pulls all the way down from 1500 to 8000 rpm, not as strong as it did with the Hooker at 6500 up to 8000 but it does really well. :OnFire

Dave - you might find the latest article I just received in a vintage bike magazine on getting more bottom end out of your chamber. Pretty neat trick, and might be worth investigating for your projects . . .

Let me know what you think!

Mako...I love these vintage articles. On the "Sleeper Pipes" we control the back pressure with the internal cone dimensions.
The article seems to targeted at unsilenced expansion chambers with a straight stinger. About the only place you can run a pipe like that these days is El Mirage or Bonneville..... I know AHRMA does not allow unsilenced machines ! And god forbid wander into a 'National Forest" without a silencer and spark arrestor.
Maybe after Trump takes office ? :ROFLOL

I have used the "washer" technique on pipes before...or should I say the silencer portion.

Here's a pic of a washer I brazed onto a Yamaha "bazooka" style silencer
