Hi, does anyone have the following information?
I'm after the Yamaha part number for a Clutch cable, and if possible, the inner and outer cable lengths.
I'm also trying to source a wiring diagram, preferably in colour, but a diagram with a note of the cable colours would work. Every wiring diagram I have found, makes no mention of cable colours ☹️
Hope someone can help.
Atb, Phil.

Did you check out CMSNL and/or Partzilla? Link to CMSNL for clutch cable attached.
Yamaha DT250 1974 USA HANDLE - WIRE - buy original HANDLE - WIRE spares online (cmsnl.com)
If it is JUST wire colours vs function that you need, then any Yamaha wiring diagram of that era, and a few years later, will provide that info. As per the other manufacturers, virtually every colour was the same across the model range for a particular function - eg horn wires are one pink and one brown.

Partzilla shows 363-26335-03-00 as the clutch cable and it's in stock, so you should be able to get it from your local Yamaha dealer. Hopefully someone else can answer the rest of your questions.

I think that Partzilla, unusually, are wrong. The cable for the 1974 DT250A and DT360A was a one year only part. However, if you are prepared to change the routing of the cable slightly, it can work.

I just rewired a 1974 DT360A using the 1975 DT400B COLOR wiring diagram from the Tech Library->Wiring Diagrams.
There are some differences I'll mention, but if you look over the years, most of the wiring diagrams are almost identical w/the 2 position switch.
One difference is brake light wire color. In the headlight bucket, the brake light is a G/Y wire. The schematic shows Y/W. This wire is routed to the rear brake light switch as a G/Y, connected together with a Y that supplies power directly to the brake light.
Obviously you have points. Guessing that is just a ground breaker loop to the coil.

Hi, thank you for the reply and information. I'll download that wiring diagram, and add your notes to it.

Hi all, I think I have found the correct clutch cable at "Yambits" in the UK. If it fits correctly, I will publish the inner and outer lengths, and part number.
