What are you asking for the RT3?

I have an RT3 that was restored by Skydancer46. It is the nicest Enduro I have. I'm building/restoring a fourth RT3 and using the one I got from him as a guide and inspiration.

Although the one he has now would sure look good next to the others.

Hi YAMABOB, Member 1971DT250 was nice enough to sell me a good used front fender with brackets for the DT250. But if you can message me or e-mail me a list of items you have for a 1972 DT2 250, i would be very interested. 2nd or 3rd piston & rings set? handlebars? rear shocks? Cables? nice gas cap? flasher relay? etc etc. thank you.

Good question? haven't decided yet! At least not 100%. That's why i was going to list it on e-bay first and see what the market brings. Let the potential buyers decide the value.
Heck, I still haven't decided if i should leave it bone stock original as it sits or install new dot approved trial tires, tubes and rim strips on the bike? So far the only things replaced on the bike is the battery, air filter and the small silver tail light wire sheathing. What would the new owner want??

Bill, Thank you. Bike still looks great! Been many moons since that restoration. I checked my records and i finished it up in August of 2009. Been longer then i thought! Time sure does fly. How many miles does the bike have on it now?
I must say having 4 of them is unreal, "but" If it's true what collectors are saying and these metal fender Yamaha enduros (73 & older ) are going to sky rocket in value in the next 2 to 5 years then you have yourself a good collection for sure.

Oh by the way, my new avatar picture is the engine out of your RT3 after finishing it up!

I read this with interest. I have come to a conclusion.I would be better moving to the US than living in the UK.
With what i just paid in duty for used parts from the US i could put a down payment down on a house in any state in America.
We just get heaps of tish over here on the whole of it. Sometimes you can find a good one. I've done that ,but never ever once here have i found anything in that condition .
I can't say enough how lucky you are to have access to motorcycles like that in the US, the areas you have to ride in are amazing.

It currently has 714 miles on it. Not sure how much the previous owners put on it after you sold it. I've put only 30 miles on it. It lives a spoiled life as a garage, trailer and show queen since I have 2 others as regular riders.
