Pete - your restoration skills are absolutely superb!  Wow!  Makes me want to get bike #5 so I can try to apply some of the cool things you shared!  Your bike is going to be 100% shinier than new.

Cheers Martin, funnily enough this is bike #5 of my collection.
You should do it.
One of my mates has a garage workshop with a spray booth, so I'll be tackling all the paintwork soon, I'm really looking forward to seeing how good I can get the tanks.

I am thinking about putting a shed on the side of the house where the AC units reside so I can stash bikes from the wife

Make sure you build that shed big enough to sleep in.

With the help of my heat-gun I managed to warm a few parts enough to prime them and get a couple of bits painted black.
I'll finish coat the lot in the heated spray booth once everything that needs to painted is fully prepped and ready to go.
Tested positive for Covid-19 today, so I've cleared my work now until New Year.
I feel about 80% fit which is still good enough for working on my bike.
Interesting how parts evolve, I had a crown from a CT1-C front end which I'd already refurbished and thought about using, but it's a different casting to the one I removed from the AT1. I'll stick with the one that came with the bike.

Hi Pete - sorry to hear about you getting covid. Fingers crossed that you have it relatively mild like what me and my family had.

Dent pulling on the oil tank, will give it a media blast to clean up all those difficult to get at places.
Rebuilt an old wheel today just to see how difficult it was and it turned out to be pretty straight forward, so I'm gonna take the hubs from an old pair of wheels I have, clean them up and rebuild a fresh pair for the AT1.
I already have a front and back nos spoke set.
The original wheels aren't too bad (see last two pics), so I'll set them aside as a spare set.
