Pete's AT1-C Restoration was created by Pete-RT1
Thought I'd better get things going.
Plan is to go the same way as my CT1-C restoration, certainly not show winning, but pleasing to the eye.

I’m not sure “restoration” is the right word in the case. Seems pretty ready to roll as it stands. I’ve heard of a one minute egg, six minute abs, 3-day juice cleanse. This may be in that grouping! Nice bike Pete!

Had a little ride around my road yesterday before getting stuck into the strip down.
All pretty straight forward, apart from the swingarm bolt not wanting to come out yet.
Penetrating oil doing it's best to help out.
Bike has had an earlier seat fitted which is why a PO has ground back the seat stopper guide so the seat fits.
I removed it completely now and cleaned up the area, which will confuse experts in twenty years, unless they search the forum of course

Yes, good to see the grinders out Pete. Are you going to powder coat the frame or paint it ?

Dave, I'll probably go with powder coating, I've got enough painting to do with the tank and all the other tinware.
A mate of mine has given me the use of his heated spray booth, so I won't need to seal off my garage this time around.

Yes that's good as the temperature and dampness in the air now will make it bloom like hell when it's drying .
We have frost here this morning.

Managed to get the swingarm bolt out with the help of a 4lb lump hammer.
It was cold here Dave, until I got the blow torch out to help get one of the swingarm bushes out
This image is hidden for guests.
Had to press out the inner steel and the rubber so I could hacksaw a slot in the outer bush.
Cleaned up the shocks (never underestimate how good a brass brush is) and they're now sitting in Evaporust.
Dropped off the swingarm and smaller parts to the powdercoater up the road, the frame goes to a different shop as it's too big for the guy up the road to shotblast.
