Bit of media blasting this afternoon.
Had to swap out the super-fine glass beads I use on ally for the glass chippings.
My setup is a bit limited and the compressor can't keep up so it's ridiculously slow.
I'll probably take the other parts to the place where I get my powder-coating done.

Plated just the one cover in the end, I couldn't bring myself to file off the original chrome on the good cover and go through the lengthy process of polishing back to a high finish.
The one re-plated cover took long enough to do

Collected powder-coated parts today (frame tomorrow) and dropped off both mudguards (fenders) and chain guard to be blasted.
£10 to blast them is time and money well spent.
Even more exciting I went to the paint shop today and matched up a half litre of metalic red

.
I'd better start prepping the tanks.......

Look what I picked up from the "other" powder-coaters today
This image is hidden for guests.
They've done a great job.
I was just pressing in the swingarm bushes when the DPD man arrived with my NOS headlight, chain guard and rubber guard, perfect timing.
Heated the rubber guard in hot water before fitting it, I was surprised how much I had to stretch it to get it on.
Greased up the pivot bot and fitted the swingarm.

Media blasted the headlight bowl and handlebar crown today, some painting and replaced the fuel tube on the petcock as the original one had split.
Got the dent out on the fuel tank and started prepping it for paint.
And managed to get the steering bracket back on with new bearings.
Best practice is to replace the races but they looked unmarked and showed no signs of wear so I'm going with the originals.
