I ran across these guys on FB market place.  I haven't contacted them since I'm not ready to have any of my thermoflow shocks rebuilt so I can't say if they will or will not be able to help.

Thanks for the info and link - I would like to know if anyone has dealt with this company? Being from Canada I could use some feedback if anyone has had a good experience before I send my shocks away.

You should contact them first. Ask if they service Thermal flows. Ask the if they stock parts. Ask what turn around time will be. Ask if they do any external surface prep and will it cost extra. No one on this forum has ever been able to identify exactly what TF shock you have by looking at the numbers / letters on the outside. Recent posts have discovered different size internal components. Info from Yamaha has been minimal. Do your homework before you send them anywhere.

You are right with everything you said, I am a novice here and appreciate any advice but also want to do a proper restoration. Any enduro restorations I have seen in Ontario Canada had aftermarket shocks. TKs shocks were not familiar with the TF shocks.

See if you can contact member Scootern29 with a PM.  He's the Curnutt shock expert and has done other shocks as well.  I'm pretty sure he's done the Thermal Flows.

There was a company that was making parts like shafts but they seem to have disappeared.  That's probably the biggest concern...  the condition of parts like the shafts.  If they are all rusted up, bent, or worn someone would probably have to make new ones.  All of this is possible but would get expensive. 

If shocks look pretty good but just need seals and fresh oil, that's a different story.
