No go on the pics yet. I had to convert from HEIC format to JPG and they still won't upload.
Anyway, I got my F136 flywheel. Put the bike back together and I had beautiful spark! After 4 kicks, it fired but did not run. Kickstarter is holding up in the down position which, it did not do prior. Took evrything out on the clutch side. Everything looks good but the kickstarter hangs up at the bottom. I ordered a new spring.
Second issue, now no spark. Took the flywheel off and the woodruff key is in 2 pieces. Doesn't look sheared. LNo go on the pics yet. I had to convert from HEIC format to JPG and they still won't upload.

Second issue, now no spark. Took the flywheel off and the woodruff key is in 2 pieces. Doesn't look sheared. Looks like the rounded edge in flyweel and what looks like a "shim" in the flywheel. Since I converted from CDI back to original, is it possible that whoever hacked up this bike actually just simmed the flywheel?

I guess it is sheared. When it fired it didn't sound right. What could have caused it to shear? And would that have anything to do with the kick starter not returning?

Common for the internal kickstart stop to slip on the shaft, especially if someone clocked the lever position forward to increase the stroke. This can lead to the kickstart not returning.

Mark, Is there a way to check that? It was fine when I got the bike. Only started (I think) after it fired. It only ran a few strokes. Then no more spark. Found the sheared key this am which I am thinking is causing no spark.. I hope it's nothing too serious.
