1971 Kawasaki 100 TrailBoss G4TR-A was created by NewbieRider100
Hi guys,
I am a new rider and new to the forum, thanks for having me! I recently acquired an all original 1971 Kawasaki, and I am posting it here for any sorts of tips, resources, advice, or ideas you may have for this journey.
I am mechanically inclined enough to learn how this bike and how to run it, I just don’t have experience with bikes specifically.
The seller was a bike restore hobbyist that got it in a lot and hadn’t even opened it up really. His opinion was great compression, spark, clean tank…it just needs the carb checked out.
So far I’ve really only opened the case and located the carb, to me it just looks like the fuel line somehow came detached.
Anyways, I am mostly looking for manuals/videos on restoring these bikes, good sources for parts, and what some of the older “heads” may think I should do to first get this little guy running and then hopefully go through and restore it!
All opinions welcome

My first bike!
tip:
keep the transfer in high-never try out or trouble will ensue.
replace the rubbers sealing carb!

Here's my opinion. You will never own a nicer type of motorcycle than bikes of this era unless you buy a two stroke race replica from the 80s or very early 90s. Simple,no fanfare needed jump on and ride bikes.
