Finished this 175 yesterday. My new trail bike. It's a '79 frame with its original tank and plastics, riding on '78 front end and wheels and powered by a '78 engine. The only thing I need to do, which this photo can't stop reminding me about, is make a front brake cable retainer so it's not obnoxiously arching out like that.

Beautiful day in the northeast US, my son-in-law and I on the 360. Dirt riding on a clay based soil is challenging. Hard like rock, or dusty, or if wet turned to a slippery paste

Took the freshly built 175 out for its maiden trail voyage today.

Got out in one of my favorite areas to ride, hundreds of dirt roads leading to all sorts mining claims and old mining towns, two river canyons and plenty of options to get lost, Plumas National Forest between Downieville and La Porte, CA.

Here is my stable of Yammies:
CT1 (1969), CT1B (1970) & DT1E (1971).
1. CT1 I bought from original owner in 1982 whom pretty much left it alone. Think I gave him $200.00 for it. Clean title.
2. CT1B I got around 2008 just a mile away from my home. Friend called to say he saw it at a yard sale, but by the time I got home & heard about it, was about three o'clock that Saturday afternoon. Went over & cycle was still leaning up against a shed. Headlight, taillight, & instruments look like they were shot out with a BB gun, but $70.00 took it away. No title but old registration in the tool compartment
3. DT1E came to me around 2000. Picked it up at my local swapmeet for $200.00. Had a torn-up seat, flat spot on the rear rim, but overall was intact. I kept the cycle covered up and only started to tackle it in 2007 after I retired. Clean title.

Nice stable!
