Just in case you hadn't seen them, there are loads of manuals and other helpful docs in the Tech Library - see button on top toolbar.

Been slowly restoring the '73 GT80 mini enduro I started riding as a kid. Love the bike and want my kids to enjoy it too, but having more trouble than expected finding knobby dirt tires.... Any tips are welcome!

Hi gdstephenson,

When I rebuilt my GT80 I replaced the obsolete 15" front rim with a 16" (or 14 or 17, can't remember) so I could get tyres off the shelf. Sorry, don't recall the exact details anymore but the size difference wasn't enough to make a difference in fitment with the frame etc.
I remember when the last of the 15" tyres were being cleared out by the distributor in Australia, I ordered a couple for a customer but didn't get any for myself because I didn't have the GT80 at the time.

Hey Guys,

New to the site but have enjoyed reading several posts. I just recently bought a 1972 CT2 which is what I rode back in the early '70s at a teenager. I've been cleaning it up as I go and riding it in the neighborhood with a big grin on my face. I guess I got the bug because I also bought a 1974 DT360. I'm glad I read comments on other posts because when I pull the rear wheel off both brake pads had become delaminated and were floating around inside the hub. Fortunately, the back tire never locked up on me during the short time I rode it before taking the wheel off.

Quick question, I plan on changing the fork seals on both bikes soon and wanted to know what is the best oil weight for the forks. I assume it would be the same for both but wasn't sure. Any help is appreciated.

Hi all,

I'm Matt, I've been lucky enough (or maybe unlucky enough!?) to have stumbled into a free 75 DT125. About 10 years ago, my family went to visit a family friend's childhood home, out in BFE South Dakota. While we were there I came across the bike shoved in a corner of a barn. He explained that they had bought it new in 75, rode it hard around the farm until one day the electrics melted together. He decided he wanted to fix it, so it got dragged back to my parents' barn... Where it sat for another 7 years. Once I was out on my own, I asked if I could have it to tinker with, and now here I am!

The motor has been completely torn down, and I'm working with a friend of mine to get it rebuilt.

I'll be starting a build thread soon!

Student, currently doing my undergrad in engineering.
I've already referenced those a lot, although had no luck finding the exact manual for a 1972 LT2. Definitely been reading through tons of old posts already though and learning lots! I've already gotten decently far into the bike and of course, found more than I bargained for, but also was pleasantly surprised with the condition of some parts of it. Now the fun starts of trying to source parts (seal kit, gasket kit, bearing kit, etc)
I'll definitely be posting lots of pictures in the future!
