don't think the electric start is strong enough to spin it over with the higher compression,  the boost in mid-range power sure adds to the smile factor

My thoughts are that the compression ratio on the 175 a little lower than the 125 according to specs just more piston mass. I can slightly pull the compression release lever and hit the starter button

Member here AGOP has an AT1-E with a CT1 top end and it won't crank on the electric starter, hot or cold.
I seem to recall someone saying theirs does with the engine hot, guess you'll just have to wait and see.
175s certainly have a lot more go than the 125s

"I can slightly pull the compression release lever and hit the starter button"

Have you fitted an aftermarket compression release valve in the second spark plug hole?

I'm a couple of pages behind, but i run an early AG175 head on a TY175 cylinder & doesn't look too out of place.
Maybe i'm just used to seeing it as it is.
Ag head is only a CT3 head.
Mind you looks aren't everything [so someone said lol] & reffering to my bike in this instance.
Sorry if ya can't unsee it now.
