New seat cover was created by Jammyyammy
Hi all - I thought I would treat my DT400B twin shock to a new seat cover (from P&K classic bikes in the UK).
The existing cover has piping that fits into the clips. The replacement cover doesn’t have piping. Please could someone who has fitted such a replacement cover share any tips for how best to fit it. Many thanks….

Hopefully I have understood your question correctly!
I am really lucky in that I live a minute's walk away from a professional upholsterer and so I get him to fit any new covers to my seats.
For the one on my 1974 DT360A , he first trimmed and then folded over and stitched together the surplus seat cover material, to create a channel for the piping. He then fed the piping through said channel and fitted this into the clips. See photos below.

Like anything really, a job is so much easier with the right tools/equipment.

This is the one I just fitted from Ryder in Canada,I fitted it over a genuine good used foam after having problems getting it to go over the larger PK classics aftermarket foam which would have required shaving.

Hi - did the one from Canada come with piping around the perimeter to fit into the clips underneath the seat - or did you (or a ‘upholsterer’) have to create that piping? Thanks….
