Wrong fuel? was created by Snglsmkr
Cleaning the carbon from the combustion chamber revealed this "veining" on a new-to-me DT360A.
Is it common to have casting flaws such as this in this area or is it likely caused by low octane fuel/detonation?

I've seen it a lot... I think it's normal casting irregularities as the combustion chambers are cast and not machined.

Sand paper is your friend. I've seen it more than once.

Thanks MarkT and Scootern29. Good to know it wasn't a sign of self destruction.
