Don't worry if its working for you--But might be a bit rich due to various things, float level etc if its starting cold with no choke & rich starting when hot. Don't worry if she's going well & leave it alone & enjoy.

Went fer a ride on the old gray mule...
Before I went... I drained the oil from the tranny and put in oil for a "wet clutch" motorcycle stuff... That made a big difference in shifting... Well, towards the end of the ride... smooth shifts... Nice
I also drained the ethanol entrained fuel out and put 91 non-ethanol... Another big improvement.. Tugged way better... even had a chance to really get into it... It still had quite a bit more too offer... but I'm not too anxious to torture it since it recently woke from 35 year sleep... Testing it...
My tires are cracked along the side walls... Not even messed with the brakes... Next year..

Its still in a rough looking state... Something that will be addressed in a year or so... I'd like to get the last mechanical items corrected first...
I have a color scheme in mind when I do get to painting... It'll stay close to the "old grey mule" scheme..

My rear wheel set up doesn't appear to match the front... It looks like aluminum... Front is chromed steel...
I was just looking at stuff making a list of things to look for over the winter months.. New search lays ahead..

The old gray mule is in its winter shelter... I've made a list of things to get so when I tug the old thing out next spring... I'll get it ready for many miles of riding...
Today... Its brew day! O-fest.. and Say-Son..

uh oh... This is habit forming.. I'll be looking at another old Yamaha next week... I'll need to throw some old junk out of the shed... make room next to my old gray mule and a couple old Hondas.... Thankful my wife doesn't wander out there...

Looks like we both have an aluminum rear and steel front wheel. I kinda like the aluminum and wondered if I could find one for the front. Arguably not original. I'll probably change my mind as happens regularly. Darned phone died so I cant attach the photo. I'll edit later.

I'm sure it doesn't matter... but to those who do look at minute details... I'll keep looking, and I don't need one right now.. Heck.. winter is setting in and the bike is tucked away til spring..
