Thanks Devin! Not sure where you find the time to do all this.
If we get solid info, I will add it to the model specs when that project gets more mature! I spoke yesterday with Enduronut, and we are planning some very cool site upgrades!

IF it isn't one thing, it's another.

The 1973 dt3 dark green on my bike the fuel tank is darker then the oil tank and headlamp. I researched a ppg color from a 2000-2006 nissan ppg #402508 VI the more vivid variant formula. we use envirobase water base with clear the color is inbetween the fuel tank and the other parts. this would be a good option instead of a tricoat

my dt3 is a low milage original got it from original owner has always been garaged. the tank was sprayed on the heavy side and buried the metallic the parts are close but not exactly the same. being a collision painter I notice it but most people wouldnt. great thread nice to see someone trying to keep colors up to date.

I might have found a possible match for the 1968 DT1 Pearl White. I plan to try this paint in the near future. when I get started on the un assembled 1968 DT1 and the 1968 DT1 I brought back to life in 2008.

Who would know what Paint will match the White Pearl Basecoat that Yamaha used on so many bikes as a Basecoat as well as the only coat (not counting the Clear Topcoat) for the Clean White.
I used to send everyone to R.S. Paint for their color match needs only to find out that they only sell solid color single coats as a ''Match''. I am looking to duplicate the Clean White on a 76 TT and MXC as well as the Competition Yellow on a Custom RD. Yamaha Spec sheet shows that Competition Yellow also uses the "White Pearl Basecoat" as a base for Competition Yellow. I have a NOS YZ175C Tank and indeed the Pearl color is amazing.
Does someone have 1st hand experience here?

I have found a good match for my 82 DT80 Competition Yellow that I used for touching up chips and scratches. It is a Ford color called Screaming Yellow.
