Thanks Alan, hopefully this will fix my lost spark issue!

Hi Guys, so here's what's going on with my DT2.  I was pretty much lost on what to do since the great information and direction I was given is just over my head so I asked on one of the  fakebook yamaha enduro groups if there was anyone in my area who could help, a guy named Mike answered and offered to help.  I took it to his house yesterday where we (he) figured out I'm getting good voltage from stator, so to make a long story short he figured out the spark plug cap wasn't getting good connection from the wire coming from the coil, he cut about half inch off then tested.  We got some spark but not great so I've ordered new points, condenser and for the heck of it a coil.  Hopefully they will be in before next weekend so we can see if we can get it running again.  I'll let ya'll know and as always I really appreciate the help I get from you guys here, in this case I'm just not savvy enough with auto (motorcycle), electric to properly troubleshoot it but did lean a bit...  

I hate to admit that has been my foolproof method. Works every time…at least so far!

I was going to replace the points and condenser but wasn't sure about timing it so he's going to show me how to do that too.  I should add that it may still not have started since the spark plug cap wasn't making any contact with the coil wire. 

Great news guys, the lost spark is has been sorted and a special thanks goes to one of our forum members Mike Mient, not sure of his forum handle.  With his help he was able to trouble shoot the electrical system and found a couple issues that we (he), fixed, installed new points and condenser, timed it and boom!  first kick she came to life!  Thanks too all for the hlep/suggestions even though I'm not smart enough to follow/understand them.  I am now going to fix the lights (no lights), issue and was given good direction as to most likely problem so I will get onto that.  Also need to ensure autolube is putting out proper amount of oil - stay tuned for another thread on that...
