What color is wire? Not in front of pc at this moment, but recall power for horn (brown) and brown/white for turn signals.
Key on for your bike = brown wire hot. Should have front/rear stop lamp, horn, turn signals.
Post pics with your posts if poss

strange going on my right front turn in the front blinks but stays on between flashes. You can hear the difference from the relay. It does not go completely off between blinks. I don't have a clue

Jsmith, you need to read the docs mentioned and when you get hung up ask about things. These old 2 strokes require a bit more reading to get a good handle on the electrical and other systems on bike.

Ok, one more go. If the wattage's were too low they'll come on but not flash--or blink as i say.
But on the other hand if the wattage is too high-way too high-would that make them do what you say?.
Do they flash at a normal rate or flash crazy fast so doesn't have time to extinguish fully in the globe wire thingy between flashes?.
Bulb wattage must match the relay --what's written on it--but can usually go one higher, like-an 8watt relay can run 10 watt bulbs with a slightly faster flash.
They calculate the indicator 3watt bulb in the tacho into the equation as well. Also be sure you aren't running 12 volt bulbs by mistake or a 12volt in the tacho indicator warning light.

I did check all my bulbs tonight. They were ok. The right one flashes bright but stays on dim between flashes. The bulb socket has some rust in it. I will try to get my dremel in there with a wire brush to see if that helps...I hooked up my regulator tonight so I will give it a go tomorrow.

Bad earths can cause feedback through things & cause headaches.
Try individually running an earth wire from each bulb socket to the bare frame, anywhere will do even motor fins or head, providing engine bolts are tight.
Just try each bulb socket separately while switched to 'that side'.
Or if you have 4 spare jumper leads just do them all at once--well each side anyway.
