Got the indicators fitted and operating today.
I'll keep an eye out for an original switch, but the retro-fit one is fine for now.
Just waiting on the original log book (hopefully Nick form Summerbud has posted it) and the DVLA to start processing applications again.
I know getting my bike registered and on the road isn't important with all this Covid-19 going on, patience is a virtue.
Here's a few pics with the indicators fitted, I think they look great.

You've done in 3 weeks what it's taken me 3 years not to do!:ROFLOL

What did you do in the end regarding indicators and rear mounts?

Ha ha, was a little longer than 3 weeks Alan and I don't have any other projects, although I'm keeping my eyes peeled now as I sold my CRF230 at the weekend.
I took your advice of course and ordered the XS2 mounts and drilled them.
I got the mounts and rear FIzzy indicators from yambits.
I managed to pick up an old pair of Fizzy indicators for the front with a little bit of age to them.
Mauser, I might get a pair of red lenses because I like the look too. Have you got green coloured bulbs in yours or do they flash red?

I'm just starting on a DT3 250 and need to paint the 'silver' parts. If you don't mind me asking what paint did you use on the fenders? Or do we know the paint code for Yamaha 'silver'. Thanks

Pretty sure I've still got the red lenses (proper "deep" size) that came with indicators I had to buy for my RT2.

Regarding advice, as I always had to say to clients when I worked in financial services, "I can tell you what you CAN do, not what you SHOULD do!". Which they ignored and said "but Alan, what would you do?!".:Ugh

They flash red, I don't like changing stuff unless I have to, if plod ever follow me I'll stick my arm out when turning and not reveal my secret flashers.

Hi there, the paint was a MIPA 2 pack paint for use with a spray gun. Some companies can supply 2 pack as a spray can.
I got it from Paint Services in Reading, in th UK. Telephone 0118 9470516.
Their reference is MCS3 Bravo 749460 (Bravo 7-11).
I can't tell how close it is to the original until my bike is standing next to another, but I'm very happy with it.
Hope this helps and good luck with your DT.

I have plenty available if you need red or amber lenses for the pre-1974 signals.
I also have the 1974 and later ones.
