Meis - think it was USPS I used when I shipped mine to you.
They didn't like the hooked part sticking out like that and made me make it more of a triangle.
Think they said it could hook on something when moving on the conveyor belt.
Just FYI

Got the Sleeper Pipe as packed and shipped. Installed quickly.
DT400 with a 160 main ran crazy. Never had that out of a 400 before, did get hot, so installed a 170. 170 runs just as good, not as hot, but seems a little lean. Headed to 180 next few minutes of free time.

Hi Dave,
Sorry for the long time getting back to you about my sleeper pipe you built for my 1975 DT 400. This thing is now a beast! At seventy years old, I'm REALLY hanging on when
I twist the throttle! Great work, and it sure sounds different then the original pipe. Keep up the fine work.

Final thoughts, I just reset the Float needle to mid-slot with the 170 stock jet. Running much cooler, still crazy responsive and a great change of performance.
Cant wait to get this DT400C out on the long haul, SSSSSSSleeper Pipe is a game changer.

Hi Monel...
We are really glad you're "REALLY" hanging on.....as we wouldn't want to lose you LOL!
We find our old Yammies really respond well to a good working pipe.
Thanks for your feedback...we appreciate it !

Vinnie....thanks for the feedback.
I am sure there are several 74-76 DT400 out there that are happy to know this.
If your looking to significantly improve your DT400's performance a Sleeper Pipe is a great way to go
as it will increase performance from off idle all the way to red line.
With the stock pipe, the power starts dropping off after about
4000 and is done at about 4500.
With the Sleeper Pipe your bike will run significantly better and it is truly a game changer !
Please contact me if your interested in one ?
