I honestly wish - I had a funny story to share with you guys. Unfortunately, I don't. Maybe it just means that if I saw something funky in the buying process - I passed on the deal entirely, knowing that - that would only be the beginning and that there would be many more items to repair. But I am enjoying reading about all these misfortunes..

The horn button in the steering columns of cars and equipment like fork lifts used to fail quite commonly... that button was designed to clamp on the side of the steering column (or to a spoke on the steering wheel... didn't work too well there though as you had to wrap wire around the column so the wheel could turn) and replace the broken horn button. Was quite a common fix years ago.

I bought an early RM 250 Full Floater a few years ago because the price was cheap, it didn't run, but had some really trick parts on it. The tweeker owner didn't know anything really about dirt bikes or the parts on it.

This part sealed the deal for me.
