Happy 4th to everyone here, we've had enough natural fireworks this week that the man made ones are not happening, just happy the say the fires are under much better control than the were a few days ago here in the far north of California.

Mt Shasta off to the right, fire was ~5 miles from town, thankfully wind was in our favor and the fire crews did great work.
 

Pyrocumulus cloud, at one point you could see it from over a hundred miles.
 

Sticking to the XT250 until things calm down, I don't want to be "that guy" breaking down in the middle of nowhere or anything like that until it calms down more.
 



 

Grand Daughter & I, 43 miles of fun today. Our total for the week, 100 mi. 
 

Took my '78 400 up above Shaver lake on the 4th. About 140 miles round trip.

Did a ride yesterday in the HEAT Modesto to Livermore. Was well over 100 in the Central Valley, but a more manageable mid-'80's in the Tri Valley area. 150+ mile round trip. And after that trip, this morning, I ordered new seat foam and cover from KDI!. THANKS DAVE!

I know Apex, It was 113 in Roseville last Saturday, brutal. Took the grandkids to the local pool. 

 
Perfect day for a short ride on the freshly rebuilt CT3.
Gave it a little gas on the trail and something isn't sounding great now.
I think it's something in the exhaust, it's cooled down now so I'll take a look.

Took her up to tree line Mount Shasta, about 7,800' elevation and 3,800' of climbing from town. Happy to say ever since fixing the timing she has been running like a champ, impressed the jetting runs clean from 1,500' to 7,800'. Also got to do one of my favorite things and find an abandoned cabin, quite a shame as it's in a nice location, I always wonder what the story is behind these.
