What is a good source for what is stock? Mine says 38 or .39, and I believe that to be stock. I can't swear to it I'm third owner but it looks stock. I would go check the number on the back sprocket for sure, but I in bed .

We have the manual in the downloads area. It may help with wiring the headlight. Here is the link:

thanks i thought it was 39, all the stock looking ones on ebay are 44. But they are cut to look like the original sprockets. I'm sure I'm going to need the manuals very soon. Still learning my way around the board.

It looks like the DT2/DT3 use 44 tooth, as mentioned earlier.

Not sure which bike we are talking about, but if you go to the workshop, then specifications, we have a lot of the bikes in there. Here is an example:

Final drive is your sprocket sizing for stock.
IF it isn't one thing, it's another.

The ebay item id given is invalid, no result has been sent
thats really odd, someone must have bought out partsunlimited. and boats.net calls the part obsolete with no cross ref to a surrogate.

I got my replacement rear sprocket straight from PBI. Their online store is a little confusing, but this should link to the rear sprocket for the 250-360-400 series of Enduros prior to 1977.

The 39 on my bike with less than 7,000 miles, looks like a good metal, not as shiny as the 44s I'm seeing on ebay.

Hey Mark, I spoke with you once before. I had that same little Yamaha 80 when I was a kid.
On the sprockets, I have a very low mile 81 Dt175. All original. I’d like to gear it up just a tad because first gear is like granny gear and I only ride it on the road. Don’t need that low of gearing. How do I go about figuring the correct front sprocket change? Would going one additional tooth do it! I’m not really into the ratios so I’m lost as to what to do.
