DT360 Decompression Valve was created by pabdt

Somewhere recently I read about the proper clearances for this and issues w/ratchet return.   I can not seem to locate the resource.  Did not see it in the service manual.

Anybody have an idea where this resource is?

Not sure the answer on that but what are you trying to achieve. I'm just guessing clearance on the cable but probably only a very little & if you had it too tight with less than zero clearance it might try to stop the kickstart returning & would hold the valve off the seat like that. I'd say with kickstart up, just have a couple of mm cable free play. See what others say or can find the manual for you.

Yes, I was trying to decide on clearance. I read this document which I believe stated 1mm and not to have it too tight. The doc did mention your comments about the kick-starter not returning properly otherwise.

In theory, it as working before I tore it down, but based on where it was set, was actually fairly small on clearance. I guess I'll set it to around 1 to a couple mm and see what happens.
