It looks like a previous owner has gone to a fair amount of effort to make a decent looking road bike, but without breaking the bank. Maybe get it running and riding and, if you can live with the non standard parts (which will only be noticed by us lot anyway!), keep it as is.

Looking at it from another angle, did the previous owner ever finish it? Either way, perhaps the missing parts are boxed up somewhere?

Your very lucky to find those if you're buying all of them.
I mentioned the retard for starting mag flywheel somewhere earlier & i see your 360 has that because the flywheel face looks stepped which indicates that fact.
If youre buying points then be careful as "i think" might be wrong but points are slightly different due to the fat cam & sit further out on the base plate which is different also--different mounting point further out for the ign points.
I just looked on partzilla to compare but its a bit confusing & i'm not sure its 100% right as shows the same points number
But i would expect it to show the movable points cam & associated bits, which it doesnt. So be careful that's all.

Morning from here,
Greatuncleal you could well be right about stuff in a box somewhere but we have had a good look around. That seat is a bit of a lash up. The base is wooden and not even overly symmetrical. We found a set of clocks but were spare HS1 clocks. We suspect that to get a dating certificate for bike registration the previous owner made it “look” like a more complete bike for photographs. But not sure. Getting it home then running is priority.

RT325 you are right I will be lucky and broke to find all the bits so maybe make a runningbriding bike and update it with correct parts as I go. I need to look into the ignition system you mention and I thank you for your information and words of warning. I may well be asking for more details in the not so distant future.

It’s a project for sure….

Thanks again all. Ian
I love taking stuff to bits - putting back together is another thing altogether.
