1969 Yamaha trailmaster (white) was created by tim99

Tim- new member here. Have been a Yamahead enduro guy all my life. Started in 1977 with a GT80, went up through DT's, Trials,and now with a mint white L5T with 2200 miles on it.  Live in the interior of BC so many mountains to climb :)

is there somewhere i can identify the bike by the serial number? and is there a difference between the LT5 and YL2? when i look for parts only find for the LT5. this is my first trial. new to this. Thank you.

thank you. so i checked and there is nothing for 1969 and the sn3 on it is L2-2550194 any help would be greatly appreciated.

1968 YL2CM had VIN of L2-550001 to L2-554939

"Model years" were not always very distinct in the 1960's.  Many states titled the bikes as "year first sold" and Yamaha often sold the same model for several years.
