Blackhat: you should post some pictures of your painted tanks. They look amazing. We dont get to see the Non USA models much.... I was looking around at your website :OnFire .I cant speak for non usa countries....In the USA, the EPA (Environmetal protection agency) was pushing for more smog control. This eventually led to the elimination of the big bore 2 stroke, street legal enduros. Other countries were lucky and still had Big Bore 2 strokes for several years later. Though the mono-shock had less horsepower, it had improved suspension. FrankC told me the mono shocks are not as popular as the twin shock. Now that some riders are over age 60+, they might want to try a mono shock, as it rides smooth. :haha

I really think it is that 78 silencer which holds it back and maybe a little detuning of air box and maybe a little smaller on the intake/reeds. However, they will get up and go if the cylinder is in good shape. Not like an mx400, but they can still rip stumps out of the ground.

This is the oldest post I could find :o
No but seriously my dt400e just needs a bit more get up and go for me and was thinking why dont i just find a B or C cylinder and fit a new piston to it and slap it on my E?  I really dont want to lose reliability or have a to radical of a bike because I do use the bike on the street mostly. Would a B or C cylinder give me a bit more and be tame or would the MX D or E cylinder be to much.
I really would like a bit more power at least 5 to 7hp more. I really liked this thread and hope I can find a happy solution.  Thanks all
