It sounds like the petcock on the tank doesn't shut off all the way or was left on? This can flood the engine with fuel.
(Leaving petcock on and flooding engine happened to me more than once when I was a kid with these bikes... I guess I'm a slow learner.... now I double and triple check petcock is off when putting bike away.)
You'll need to get the liquid fuel out of the engine. I used to remove the gas tank, pull the spark plug, turn engine until piston was all the way down, lay the bike on it's side and then slowly turn it upside down in the backyard. Most of the gas would drain out the spark plug hole. At least I did that until my Mom got angry about all the brown spots in the lawn where the grass was killed by the gasoline.

Then I'd usually still have to kick and kick (with tank still off, no new fuel) until it fired up. Then the tank went back on and all was good... until I forgot to shut off petcock again.

Good idea to get in the habit of turning fuel off.
But for it to flood the motor there needs to be a fault with the float valve or the fuel level in the bowl is 'way' too high & spilling out past the slide needle.
Float could be bent & touching something so 'not floating'.
Could be a few different reasons.
Vacuum operated fuel tap is good if you can draw the vacuum from somewhere so it stops flowing when the motor stops.
But anyway, back to the main issue. Set the carb up on the bench at a similar angle to on the bike.
Then suspend a fuel container from the rafters & observe if it drips or flows out the venturi engine side of the carb.

Or possibly float level adjustment. Correct level if you don't have a spec is when float arms are parallel to float bowl gasket surface just as the needle valve closes.
If level is correct, then yes, new float valve.

RT325 posted the "rafter" idea. My experience when these bikes were new was leaving petcock on a day or more would often flood the engine and make it hard to start. Never had fuel coming out of exhaust port on my little LT2 but that could happen if left on long enough. I did buy a CT1 that was parked for months with petcock on and cases and head pipe were full of fuel. Ran great once I cleared the flooding. I still have that bike.... it's never flooded again but I haven't left petcock on either. Next time I have the carb off I'll have to check the float valve.
Would love to see a picture or video of your test rig... or just of your bike. Haven't seen too many "1G1" models, we never got those in the USA. I'm guessing it's similar to our "559" DT175? You'll need to upload pictures or video to someplace like Imgur or YouTube and post a link here.

I believe that you need to upload a video to Youtube, or such like, and then post a link to that.
