Happy Fathers Day Gents.

Didnt have as much time today. My flywheel puller did not fit so ill have to find another. The clutch plates came out and appear to be in good shape. The basket has some definate "ripples" tho. Is this a no go?

It's all ok & i wish mine were half as good. My opinion, don't touch it.
In your previous post you said you had a 24/27 puller. Does the 27 not fit?. should a lefthand thread--fine thread. I'm only guessing of course without seeing it but is the flywheel thread damaged. It's the most common puller out there 'the 27X1 lefthand'.

My puller just had some boogered threads from being dropped 1000 times. I cleaned it up with a tiny chainsaw file and got it to thread in this morning. I think I just needed coffee :) Ill get it off there soon and post more pics. On a side note, boy that shift shaft is loooose in there.

Actual main shift shaft itself is fine... it's the goofy linkage they added to move the shift lever back a few inches that gets all wobbled out.

Flywheel came off easy. Is there a quick way to check the stator? IIRC its looking for continuity between ground an all other correct? Open is bad....

Still plugging away. Coming apart pretty smoothly. Some questions if you dont mind:

The crank nut....any tips to holding to zip it off?
The round (shifter drum thing?) at the top does that stay for now?
I think thats everything on this side?

On this side, do all the black rubber (plugs?) stay in?
The round thing at the top that the clutch cable rod drops down in to...does that stay in?
Then just zip out the allens and press halves off with 8mm holes?

Thanks again for any help!
