Ultrasonic cleaner - uk was created by Jammyyammy

Hi - has anyone recently purchased an ultrasonic cleaner that they can recommend (UK)?
It only needs to be small - suitable for cleaning the carburettor (stripped down) on my DT400 twin shock.
I’ve never bought/used one before, so don’t know if a chirpy cheap one will do or not…..
Thanks.

Surely you mean a Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep one at a Middle of the Road price?! Sorry, that's an awful joke!

I’ve seen some ultrasonic cleaners with a ‘heat’ function. Do I need that for cleaning a carb? Or is it an overkill? Thanks…

Phil, I looked into getting one and ended up using one borrowed from my brother's work.
Having stripped and cleaned the carb before it went into the ultrasonic cleaner I was left a bit underwhelmed when I got it out after two 20 minute cleans.
I didn't see much if any improvement to my cleaning with carb cleaner and an air line.
I've cleaned all the carbs on all of my bikes with carb cleaner and an air line, and on occasion a strand off a wire brush to clear a really blocked hole.
The hardest to clean in my experience is the starter jet in the float bowl as it's tiny and fixed, but with perseverance it can be done.
The one I used was 3 litre and was heated, I'm not sure of the brand but there are plenty similar looking ones on Amazon for under £100.
Anyway, all I'm saying is for me it isn't something I'm looking to buy anymore.
