Hello all, 

I am new to the game and inherited this motorcycle that was sitting under a lean-to shelter for 20 years. It's in great condition regarding that storage but I'm starting to restore it. I am in Colorado North of Denver. 

I don't know what I'm doing. I started with AI to get started. The kickstarter and pistons move. I cleaned the carburetor 5 years ago and will have to do it again I'm sure. I'll get a new battery but just wanted to see if y'all had any advice or directions to go to help a guy get started on this endeavor. thanks 

No battery needed except for brakelight, turn signals, horn, so shouldn't affect it running.

Pull plug and lay it against head, kick then check for spark while kicking. You can also pull the cover off left side and
turn it over w/drill, I believe a 19mm.  Once spark established, move on to fuel and air.  Remove homes built inside of air box and then all you have left is that carb hopefully.  There are other things to creep up, but thats a good start.  
 

One caution.  It will run without a battery but it will likely blow any light bulbs that are on if you rev it much without a good battery installed.
