Afternoon Everyone.

I've almost completed the restoration of my 1975 DT400B and I'm trying to find a 12V. battery to fit beneath the seat after I converted it (with the Rex's Speedshop kit in the UK), but can't seem to find one. The original batteries were so small.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Looking at the Rexspeed website, they have a conversion information page ( 12v conversion ) and it states:

"Batteries
If the standard bike has a 6N2-2A or a 6N4-2 battery we have very small 12 volt battery (part
number DT12-1.2) that will fit in to the smaller carriers. The MB3U is a 12 volt direct replacement
for the 6N6-6 that used on later models."

Seems like they should be able to sort you out with a battery.

Apologies. You're right. When I 'phoned them, they said they didn't have one that small. I've now spoken to someone else and they do have one. For anyone else out there, this is what they came up with.
