DEET this would make my morning Thank you.

Your help is all over this build with Frame sticker/ Speedo/Tach refurb and the oil pump it is only fitting that you leave your signature on the motor as well Haha. I may have to have a DEET sticker made to proudly display on the fender :Buds

Check the bottom of the stud holes in the cylinder. They may still be stuck down in the bottom. I remember someone asking about these a few years ago and they ended up finding them stuck down in the holes. They had bit into the material of the cylinder just enough that they didn't want to come out.

Rocky Mountain ATV/MC shows they have them with a 5-7 day ship time. I have ordered from them for my 78 DT400 I am rebuilding.

I'll also add to Terry's comment, that this was by design. . . . .
Yamaha intended for them to embed themselves and not come out,
So take a second look just to be sure!

Yes as Terry and EN said, they commonly almost become part of the cylinder. :likey

(Nice to know that was by design, thanks EN)

Sometimes one or two can fall out during cleaning/handling/machining so good to always check all are there. If missing, nut runs out of threads before cylinder is clamped tight... so nut might act like it tightened up but won't be doing anything.

should be still trapped down there. maybe a new cylinder comes without them.
