I use a torch myself but a high powered heat gun may do the job.

in these pictures,I use a Map gas torch and a adjustable blow tip and use it at a low setting to blow air into the pipe.

I also use a torch with map gas and put a hair dryer on the inlet side to blow air thru the pipe. Another option if you live outside the city is throw it on the camp fire and roast some grub while you are waiting :haha .

Ok, ive got a tiger torch and a cutting torch. Whats better? And then stick compressed air in the same end and blast it? Haha

Im at work but just had a thought. The previous owner put in a new battery. What if he put in a 12v? Would it cause these issues?
