Actually, if anyone is aware of a 12 Volt Battery that would fit in an RT1B Box, I would appreciate the part number as I bought a battery eliminator because I could not find one.

Thank you for the help so far, but the reason I am questioning the wiring is -because- I have a battery eliminator (large capacitor/condenser) , and not a battery. From what you explained the original "battery powered" accessories still receive power if I do not connect the vape red to the red wire running to the original battery. Is a battery present necessary to complete this circuit in any way?
In other words, would the original "battery powered" accessories still receive power when wired the way you prescribed in post 2 (for example without the presence of a battery or if the battery was dead?)
This is my first time doing this so I am just trying to be extra careful.
Thank you again,
Robert

Look at the stock wiring diagram.  Connecting VAPE red to the green wires (original battery charge wires) connects to the battery red through the stock rectifier.

My instructions tell you how to wire the VAPE so that the system operates exactly as it did originally.  (And yes, you could wire the VAPE lots of different ways.  Some people do and usually half the lights don't work or some of the lights are on all the time.)

A battery eliminator could be used on the stock bike with the stock electrical system.  There's no special wiring involved as far as I know.  (Eliminators don't seem to work that well with the VAPE in my experience if you expect turn signals and horn with engine idling.)

When done, you'll be very happy with the improvement in engine performance.

I will say that without Marks help I wouldn't have been able to complete.  I needed to be "walked" through the installation. Just a few wires and yet it can get confusing.

Hello RT1 and MarkT, I printed out a colored RT1 diagram and spent a good hour studying the whole thing. The one in my book is black and white, much harder to follow. Much more self explanatory now, and I understand what you mean about the battery. I have the whole system hooked up, just need to set the timing which is a bit daunting but I will get it! Hopefully the battery eliminator doesn't suck too much, If someone knows of a 12v battery that would fit in the stock location that would be awesome.
Thanks for the help,
Robert

Something like this might work, you'll have to confirm yourself.  Note that SLA batteries can be mounted in any position.  www.power-sonic.com/product/ps-1212/

Hopefully I haven't twisted the dimensions.

6N2-2A Yuasa Battery, Inc.
LWH 70mm x 47mm x 96mm 2 3⁄4 in. x 1 7⁄8 in. x 3 3⁄4 in

Duracell DURA12-1.3F (closed cell). using this on my DT360 orig suggested by user:mdscott.
LWH 95mm x 43mm x 51mm if rotated 90deg, 51 x 43 x 95. The extra 19mm width could be used to wire it up, pack it away from connectors.

edit: Im late to party didn't see prev responses.

Yamaharob -
I've been wanting to reply to you but I've been away on vacation and couldn't access the website.
I have a 12v battery that works.  If you're not squared away yet I'll look to see if I can locate the make & model #.
