I'm going off topic now, but just thought I'd share that I successfully managed the next step this evening! ..

Crank cases now apart, with no issues whatsoever, except for a foul smell from the manky old oil sludge, or something!

Woohoo!!! :-)

I know this is old, but just wanted to say thanks. I am converting my CT2 to the Dynamo electronic ignition kit, and my stator plate appears to be stuck in there with the 2 screws gone. Needed a sanity check as I was assuming I was missing one somewhere, but will try working it loose.
