Brand new to this site. I recently acquired a 70 and 71 DT-1 that are factory original. However, they have not run in 25yrs. They were stored in a barn in the Nevada desert and seem to have no rust. I ordered a set of cables and despite telling them what I have they sent me a set with the wrong throttle cable; it doesn’t have the lead what goes to the oil injection. Ordered another throttle cable and it has the oilpump dongle but the cast-on lead end what goes into the carb slide is waay to big. It looks as if it’s for a brake cable. Plus the end that goes into the carb top has a threaded end with two jam nuts and will not fit the cap at the top of the MIKUNI carb. Is the correct cable available or am I going to need to modify this one?  I’m working on the 61 DT-1F

That said, it sounds a little like you're trying to connect the oil pump cable to the carb?

2 very different areas of the bike after the split connection —> ( 2142626100 )  from the upper throttle cable, oil pump cable ( 2142632100 ), lower throttle cable (2142631200) .. 

KDI .. most cost effective replacement.
