Update. After replacing points and condensers and even buying a stator on line, I read that resitor spark plugs are no good for these engines. I bought NGK B8ES from 2 difffernet vendors claiming to be the right plugs, and each came with the letter "R" on them. So, I found another vendor and made sure they were B8ES with no "R".

2 bikes with weak/intermittent spark. New plugs, both started on first kick!!!
